Goal-scoring was on full display within the CWHL this past weekend, with 37 goals scored between five games played.
Out West, the Inferno hosted the Vanke Rays in their annual Start the Spark game in support of and in partnership with Do It For Daron, the Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre, and the Canadian Mental Health Association. On the ice, Calgary’s scoring prowess was on full display as the team notched 10 goals against a road-weary Rays team. Four different Inferno’s players recorded three or more points in the decisive win, with forward Brittany Esposito leading the way recording four goals and an assist. Offence continued for Calgary the next day, however, it was a strong game in net for goaltender Lindsey Post also. The Inferno netminder recorded a 24-save shutout in the Sunday afternoon contest to help move Calgary within one point of the first place Canadiennes and Red Star
